Join us in making a story rug for Kepler’s! This will be a place where we can come together and hear one another’s stories. Leave your mark at Kepler’s by donating fabric or joining us for a read aloud of Sophie Blackall’s The Story Rug, illustrated by Phoebe Wahl. In the book, the kids from classroom 203 come together to give their old fabric new life as the classroom’s story rug! It’s a joyous celebration of community, crafting, and storytelling itself.

Joining us for a free story time and braided rug making tutorial - registration encouraged!
Come back October 17 from 2-3:30pm to see our completed story rug during our next storytime: Home is a Door We Carry by Constantin Satüpo! RSVP here.
For fabric donations - please follow these guidelines:
* Must be clean
* No stretchy material
* Should be natural materials
* Examples: curtains, jeans, saris, cotton shirts, tablecloths
We will accept fabric donations in the store through September 12th for the Kepler’s Story Rug.
What is Community Reads?
The goal of Community Reads is to broaden our mission to engage, enrich, and inspire our community through literature. We especially love the Community Reads program because it encapsulates the very essence of our existence: to connect us all through great books, engage in meaningful conversations and motivate us to bring social changes. Community Reads is an immersive experience in which the whole community comes together to read the same book simultaneously, participate in book club discussions, and develop greater understanding of our human condition.
