Between the Acts, Virginia Woolf

In this delicious, accessible novella published just after Woolf’s death, the master of modernism treats us to a lovely June day in the English countryside where a cast of real characters acts out a backyard play spanning from the Elizabethan Era to 1939. Of course, all the juicy stuff happens Between the Acts. This slim meditation on flirtation and loyalty and family and impending storms is one of Ford’s favorite Woolf novels. If you’re a fan of hers and don’t know the text, you MUST read this book. If she has never appealed, this more straightforward, more plot-rich novella will convince you of her GENIUS. Lastly, our three one-hour-long meetings will allow us to really dig into a novel and a novelist that delivers huge rewards.

Book will be shipped directly to you so that you may read it prior to the seminar.
