Fleishman Is In Trouble, by Taffy Brodesser-Akner

Longtime seminar-goers know that it takes a really excellent contemporary novel to be chosen for the series. Fleishman is that kind of novel. A story of one Manhattanite couple’s ugly divorce, the novel is vivid, quick-reading satire that really shines a light on marriage and the modern age. Longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2020, Fleishman is also an interesting look at feminism. The novel isn’t short but it’s ultra-compelling as the reader rushes to unravel a few HIGHLY intriguing plot points. There will be so much to unpack in this absorbing New York read.

There are several ticket options that include books with purchase, books shipped to home, books picked up at Kepler’s Books or seminar only.  Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor all shipping costs will be waived for the literary seminars. The books should be read prior to the meeting date.
