Matthew Zapruder is the author of four poetry collections including American Linden, The Pajamaist, Sun Bear, and Come on all You Ghosts. His most recent work is Why Poetry, a book of prose about poetry.

Louise Glück has won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Bollingen Prize, and is the former Poet Laureate of the United States. She teaches at Yale University and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Join two of America’s leading poets for an evening of why poetry matters. Matthew Zapruder’s work has appeared everywhere from the New Yorker to the Paris Review. Louise Gluck has won a Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award, and countless more accolades. They will read from some of their favorite works, read from the original prose on the importance of poetry, and share just why it is we come back to poetry generation after generation. 

Doors open at 6:30pm.

Books will be available for pick up, and for sale, at the event.
